About Elite Physical Therapy
Having graduated as a Neuromuscular Physical Therapist (NMT) Gavin has spent much of his time treating general public as well as elite level athletes from various sporting backgrounds, during this time he went on to complete his Spinal Manipulation and Mobilization qualification which now sees him specialising in back and neck injuries. His excellent knowledge of Dry Needling and Manual Therapy techniques sees him dealing with musculoskeletal pain of every description. A guarantee of quality patient care has seen Elite Physical Therapy become the first stop for the treatment of pain and injury.
Gavin is an International Taekwon-Do Instructor with the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) and is currently a 4th Dan Black Belt, having competed on the international circuit with the Ireland Team for over six years. Gavin works closely with the current Irish squads treating injuries and advising on injury prevention, flexibility and nutrition.
Elite Physical Therapy attended the 2014 SEMS medical conference in the Emirates stadium London, hosted by club medical director Dr. Gary O'Driscoll and Mr. Colin Lewin. Topics covered included Tendonitis pathology and its managment, Athletic development of academy players, managing the welfare of the elite athlete and concussion in the elite athlete.
Elite Physical Therapy had the pleasure of working with Aberdeen FC on their preseason tour of Ireland. Based in Johnstown house Gavin met up with the squad and provided hands on treatment to help the players recover from their grueling training sessions.
We wish the lads all the best for the coming season, and a big thanks to Graham for the invite.
